Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Application Packager to manage application packaging, testing, and deployment for a diverse range of systems, including Windows, MacOS, and Linux. This role requires a blend of project management expertise and technical proficiency, as well as strong communication skills to coordinate with application owners, end users, and software vendors. Frequent on-site presence is required to ensure seamless application testing and certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management and Application Packaging:
- Collaborate with application owners to gather requirements and perform application packaging for Windows, MacOS, and Linux systems.
- Manage packaging timelines and ensure delivery within 14 days of receiving complete requirements.
Issue Resolution:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application packaging and deployment.
- Coordinate with application owners and software vendors to ensure timely resolution.
Application Testing and Certification:
- Coordinate with app owners and end users to facilitate application testing and certification.
- Ensure teams are notified of the testing process within 3 days of readiness.
Application Deployment Management:
- Publish packaged applications to SCCM and coordinate deployment to Windows clients.
- Publish packaged applications to JAMF Pro and coordinate deployment to MacOS clients.
- Publish packaged applications to JumpCloud and coordinate deployment to Linux clients.
Linux Device Support:
- Provide overall support for Linux devices, ensuring functionality and resolving issues as needed.
- Be available on-site to support Linux environments.
Expedited Support for Mission-Critical Applications:
- Handle expedited changes for mission-critical applications within 5 business days to prevent downtime or delays in the imaging process.
Performance Metrics:
- Applications packaged and ready for testing within 14 days of receiving complete requirements.
- Issues related to application packaging and deployment resolved successfully and efficiently.
- Timely notification of testing processes to application teams within 3 days of readiness.
- Applications published and deployed to SCCM, JAMF Pro, and JumpCloud within agreed-upon timelines.
- Mission-critical application changes implemented within 5 business days.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in application packaging and deployment for Windows, MacOS, and Linux systems.
- Strong knowledge of SCCM, JAMF Pro, and JumpCloud for application deployment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to application packaging.
- Strong project management skills to manage timelines, requirements, and deliverables.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including fluency in English.
- Ability to work in the EST timezone and frequently be on-site
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with diverse teams and coordinating with software vendors.
- Certifications in SCCM, JAMF Pro, or relevant technologies are a plus.
